Terms of use

The agreement between you and GPDO. Short, because the product is: a map of public pitches and a way to arrange a game on one.

Version 2026-10 · last updated 15 October 2026

1. What GPDO is

GPDO shows public football and basketball pitches on a map and lets people arrange to play on them. That is the whole service.

GPDO does not book, reserve, rent, own, manage, inspect or pay for any pitch. A "match" on GPDO is people agreeing to turn up at a public place at a time. Nothing is held for you. Whoever created the match is responsible for knowing that pitch's rules and opening hours, and everyone who turns up is responsible for their own behaviour and safety. There is no charge for anything in GPDO, and there is no payment mechanism in it.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 16. That is the minimum age in every country GPDO covers — the EU, the EEA and Switzerland.
  • If you are 16 or 17, a parent or guardian must agree to your using GPDO, and your account is always private until you turn 18. You cannot follow, message, share a group chat with or comment on the posts of adult accounts, nor they with you. You can like an adult's public post or reel; the adult is not told who liked it. Games organised by under-18s are open only to under-18s, and on any game's player list adults see you only as a numbered player. When you turn 18, the follows, chats and games you already had with under-18 friends carry on, but no new ones can start. A date of birth cannot be changed once it is set; if yours is wrong, write to support and we will correct a genuine mistake.
  • One person, one account. Give accurate details and keep your login to yourself.
  • If you join a game, your username (and your full name, if you have chosen to show it), profile photo and age (never your date of birth) appear on its player list. Anyone signed in who can see the game can open that list, including before joining, even if your account is private.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time, from the app or from this page. It is a real deletion.

3. Your content

Everything you post stays yours. By posting it you give us the permission we need to run the service: to store it, process it, moderate it and show it to the people it is meant for, for as long as you keep it on GPDO. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already lawfully held by other users or required for moderation or legal records.

You confirm that what you upload is yours to upload, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

4. Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour

There is no tolerance on GPDO for objectionable content or abusive users. You may not post, send or do any of the following:

  • Sexual content, nudity, or anything sexualising a minor. Child sexual abuse material and any attempt to groom, solicit or exploit a minor are reported to law enforcement — see the child safety standards.
  • Harassment, bullying, threats, stalking, hate speech or incitement against anyone or any group.
  • Violence, gore, or content promoting self-harm.
  • Illegal content, or content promoting illegal activity.
  • Spam, scams, fraud, impersonation, or advertising.
  • Someone else's personal information, or photographs of other people published to embarrass or endanger them.
  • Automated access, scraping, reverse engineering, or attacks on the service or on other users' accounts.
  • Inventing pitches, inventing matches, or otherwise polluting the map.

5. How that is enforced

  • Filtering before publication. Every photo and video in a post, reel, profile or pitch listing is scanned for nudity before it is stored, and post text, comments and reel titles are screened by automated moderation before they publish. Chats are not scanned; a chat message reaches a moderator when someone reports it. Content that fails is refused, not queued.
  • Reporting. Every post, comment, reel, reel comment, chat message and profile can be reported from inside the app in two taps, under one of 13 categories: intellectual property infringement; hate speech and harassment; terrorist content; child sexual abuse; sexual content; violence and gore; self-harm and suicide; privacy violation; advertising or promotion; spam; deceptive content; impersonation; other illegal content. Every report needs a short written explanation, up to 500 characters. Every report goes to a moderator, and reports of terrorist content or child sexual abuse go first. The moderator removes the content, warns or suspends the account, or takes no action, and the person who reported it is told the decision.
  • Blocking. You can block any user. It is immediate, mutual and silent: neither of you sees or can contact the other.
  • Removal and termination. We may remove content and disable accounts that break these rules. For the things in section 4 that is immediate and without warning. A disabled account loses access to the service; you can still request deletion of your data.
  • Contact. office@gpdo.app, monitored by a person.

6. Playing safely

You are meeting people you may not know, at a public place, to do something physical. Use your judgement. Tell someone where you are going. GPDO does not vet, verify or background-check anyone, and is not responsible for what happens at a pitch, for the condition of a pitch, or for anything anyone does there. Play within your ability, and follow whatever rules the pitch's owner sets.

7. Availability

GPDO is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, always correct, or free of bugs — pitch data in particular comes from public sources and from other users, and can be wrong or out of date. We can change or withdraw features. We will not remove your ability to delete your account.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for what other users do, or for anything that happens at a pitch. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Nothing here removes the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.

9. The app stores

This agreement is between you and GPDO. Apple and Google are not parties to it and have no obligation to provide support or maintenance for GPDO. If the iOS app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price — which is zero — and has no other warranty obligation. Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a relevant embargo and are not on a prohibited-parties list, and you will comply with their usage rules for the app.

10. Changes to these terms

We will update the version at the top when these terms change and ask you to accept the new version in the app. If you do not accept it, delete your account.
